I am graduating in July 2009 and I am expecting a 2:1 in BSc Computer Games. My great ambition in life is to become a computer gameplay programmer hence the reason for taking a degreein Computer Games. I first learnt that I had a passion for programming towards the end of my a-levels when I experienced programming in Pascal and this passion was further increased during my time at university where I was properly taught programming basics in Java. Since that time I have taken a keen interest in developing my skills and have often in my spare time looked at more effective ways to program. I have also read books on how different languages work such as C++ as this is the main programming language choice for developing computer games.
I also have a passion for animation which has taken the form of both 3D and 2D. I have used Macromedia Flash for the past two years now and have made a few games with it. I took the leap from AS2 to AS3 a year ago and although I wasn't entirely happy with the new ActionScript, I can now say that it is a much more efficient way to code and has greatly increased my programming skills.
I am now looking for work experience in the IT sector as a means to break into the gaming industry. I'm very eager to work and I am looking forward to develop my skills even further.
